Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Screen Recorder application (the “App”), provided by Spyridon Bousios / SB Apps (the “Developer”).
Summary
Screen Recorder records your screen, microphone audio, and camera overlays entirely on your device. We do not upload your screen captures or camera feeds to external servers. Your content belongs exclusively to you.
Data we process
- Screen Recordings & Audio: Captured through iOS ReplayKit system integrations. The video files are written locally to the App's shared group container on your device. We do not transmit recordings to our servers.
- Front Camera Stream: If you use the Camera Overlay feature, the front-facing camera feeds are combined with the screen recording track on-device. The stream is never broadcasted, uploaded, or shared with the Developer.
- In-App Purchases: Handled securely through Apple StoreKit. We do not collect or receive your credit card details or bank credentials.
- Anonymized Analytics: Firebase Analytics may collect basic, anonymous event logs (such as whether a recording succeeded or a setting was changed) to help diagnose crashes and optimize performance. No user identifying information is processed.
Permissions Requested
- Screen Recording (ReplayKit): Required to broadcast and capture screen pixels and system audio.
- Microphone: Required to capture live voiceovers or audio during screen captures.
- Camera: Required to display and merge the front-camera picture-in-picture overlay.
- Photos Library: Required to save your finished MP4 export files to your device's Camera Roll.
Data Retention
All recorded files are saved on your device's local filesystem and remain there until you explicitly delete them from the library or uninstall the App.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone.
Changes
We may update this policy periodically to reflect future features. Effective date: May 26, 2026.
